  • The Nest® Mattress provides excellent pressure relief at skin level (interface pressures) but more importantly at the inner tissue level.
  • The Nest® Mattress disperses the load away from the patient in all directions through its interlocking 3D Spring Structure.
  • The Nest® Mattress was designed using computer modelling and finite element analysis to help predict and reduce internal tissue deformation, in line with the new published international guidelines on prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers/injuries.

Improved blood flow circulation

  • The Nest® Mattress allows better blood flow circulation into the capillaries as the localised low compression areas in the structure of the Nest mattress allows greater blood perfusion.
  • The Nest® Mattress provides better blood flow by allowing the patient to move more easily on its smart rebound material.

Improved microclimate

  • The Nest® Mattress is 90% air, creating excellent breathability, which is 10 times more effective than foam.
  • The Nest® Mattress promotes lower skin temperature and lower humidity meaning there is less metabolic demand and a stronger stratum corneum, which will prevent the development of pressure ulcers.
  • The Nest® Mattress also maintains a constant low temperature and low humidity within the mattress which prevents heat build-up (heat jam) that can occur with foam.

  • The Nest® Mattress can withstand extremely high temperatures (melting point 200°C), which makes it suitable for various disinfecting processes such as submersion, industrial machine washing, pressure washing and vapour disinfection.
  • The Nest® Mattress can be easily air or tumbled dried.
